Colours:
Doors are supplied in Traffic White as standard. LTE40, EPU40 and LPU40 doors
can be finished in the factory colours below for a small additional
cost, or alternatively can be finished in one of 200 colours from the
RAL colour chart. Very dark colours are not possible on the EPU40
and LPU40 doors but can be used on the LTE40. As a guide the 15 colours below add
£120 inc VAT to the
cost of an 8'x7' door and £200 inc VAT to a 14'x7' door. The cost
of door finished in a RAL colour is £40 per square meter.
The fascia panel (the 90mm high frame across the top
of the door) is supplied to match the door colour. However,
the upright frames on either side are supplied in white only (1). If purchasing a coloured door you have two options.
Option 1: If your frame is recessed behind the brickwork and
will not show from outside then you can touch up any small
area of frame visible with the touch up pot and brush supplied.
Option 2: If your door opening is narrower than the structural
opening then more of the white frame will show and it may be
beneficial to purchase a profile cover (2). These are either
55mm or 80mm wide. Prices are per meter, a 7' high door
works out at £50 for 55mm wide and £65 for 80mm wide. Also
available in RAL colours at £25 and £40 per meter respectively. |

Electric
Automation:
Hormann's range of electric openers are fantastic quality units with full
5-year warranties kevlar belt for quiet operation and are very easy to
fit. Smaller doors up to 13'x7' are fine with the Promatic,
larger doors need to use the Supramatic
E. Smaller doors can use the Supramatic if required as it
travels a little faster and is capable of higher numbers of operating
cycles per day.

Handles:
As most doors are fitted with electric operation these days, doors are
supplied with no handles and no pre-cut hole. If
you wish to fit a handle then Black
handles are £40 inc VAT. A range of cast Aluminium and Stainless
Steel handles in a range of finishes are available from £70 to £150 inc VAT.
All handles include a very secure locking system. A template and full instructions are
supplied to enable you to fit the handles in the correct place.
Four holes are drilled in the corner of the template and a jigsaw with
long blade is used to connect them.

Delivery:
Delivery times vary slightly depending on the size of the door: Imperial
sizes 2 to 3 weeks, metric 4/5 weeks, made to measure/special colour 6/8 weeks. All doors are supplied flat packed and are built up
on site in 5/6 hours.

Choosing the correct size:
Hormann Sectional doors can either fit inside the garage on the rear face of the
brickwork (reveals) or using a sideways anchor kit can be fixed sideways
within the brick opening; they require clearance on either side and headroom
clearance (the distance between the ordering height and any obstruction
above (ceiling or lintel)) as detailed below: 1. Side clearance
A 90mm wide frame securely supports the door panels on each
side. This can either be fitted to the brickwork on either side
or within the opening. - Fitting behind
the brickwork & lintel. If your brick to brick opening is 7'6",
order a 7'6" wide door, the 90mm
(rounded to 4" in this example) frame will be in
addition to the 7'6" so the total assembly width is 8'2"
- Fitting between the brickwork & under the lintel. If
your brick to brick opening is 7'6", take off 2 x 4" to allow for
the frame and sideways anchor kit so order a 6'10" wide
door2. Headroom clearance -
- 100mm for manual doors up to
10ft wide
- 115mm for automated doors up to
10ft wide
- 210mm for doors over 10ft wide, a low headroom kit is
available which requires 100mm (manual) 115mm electric Doors are available both in standard imperial sizes (priced
up below) and metric sizes; there is also a made to measure service
- contact us for details What happens if your opening does not match a standard size of
door? Don't forget you can remove existing wooden frames to
improve the drive-through width. You have a couple of options... here is
an example.

Mr Blogg's garage opening size is 7'9" wide x 7'
high and he wishes to fit an EPU40:
Option 1 - install an 8' wide x 7' high door. As
the door fits behind the brickwork some of the door simply does not
show, however, the internal garage width will need to be at least 2438mm
(8') plus 2 x 90mm clearance, i.e. 2618mm. One side must have at
least 90mm clearance. In height the clearance will need to be
2125mm (7') + 100mm clearance, i.e. 2225mm.
Option 2 - install a 7'6" wide x 7' high
door. All doors have a 90mm wide fully finished frame which mounts to the brickwork. The
drive through width will be reduced and 1½" of frame will be
visible on either side. The internal garage width will need
to be at least 2286mm (7'6") plus 2 x 90mm clearance, i.e. 2466mm. |

Warranty info:
Hormann offer a full 10-year manufacturers warranty that covers both
parts and surface finish. Normal reasonable wear and tear, wilfil
damage, etc, is excluded and products must be installed as per
installation instructions.
Additional info:
Doors are made up of four sections 'stacked' on top of each
other.
A double skin of steel adds stiffness and
therefore makes for a more secure door.
If a section gets damaged, then it can be replaced with a couple
of hours work.
Wicket doors (a personnel door within the sectional door are available
in the LPU40 door - roughly £800 extra. Pricing:
